Principal & Dancing Queen
Karen has the experience, intensity and focus of a big city ad professional, and prides herself on having the flexibility, responsiveness and moxie that comes from building a locally-grown business. She cut her marketing teeth in Atlanta and New York before returning to Salinas—the place she always considered home. Karen is a leader and trend spotter, and has a knack for bringing people together and ideas to life.
Karen loves a good mojito, Fleetwood Mac and exploring the great outdoors—as long as there are no bears or sharks in sight. She loves to cook, especially Italian cuisine, and knows meals are most enjoyed when shared with family, friends and plenty of wine. Having danced since a young age, be sure to make lots of room for Karen on the dance floor—she’s definitely known to bust a move.
Principal & Directeur Sportif
A true marketing guru, Terry has done it all. From owning a marketing agency whose clients ranged from small businesses to major corporations, to leading non-profit associations, to heading local operations for a major media company—it’s safe to say Terry brings well rounded experience to our clients. There aren’t many people who can be described as intense, focused and laid back, but the shoe, or flip-flop, fits Terry.
It’s been a while since his first jobs as an ice cream maker and diver for sea urchins, but he still enjoys that sweet, laid back, Jimmy Buffet lifestyle. When not working hard, Terry can be found playing hard, speeding down the Laguna Seca corkscrew on his trike, whale watching from his kayak, or searching for Big Horn Sheep in Death Valley. He doesn’t drink margaritas, eat cheeseburgers or have a pencil thin mustache, but yes, he is a pirate and dreams of that one particular harbor.
Client Services & Generous Spirit
Molly’s agency expertise stretches far and wide. Her years of marketing for local businesses and prominent produce companies make her outstanding in the field (pun intended!) and her talents don’t stop at project management—Molly also excels at brand development and team leadership, and she handles all aspects of agency operations with ease.
Her energy and drive benefit clients as well as our community. Molly donates her time and talents with organizations such as Salinas Relay For Life and the Girl Scouts. Beyond volunteering, her passion is spending time with her husband, two daughters, and dog, Dallas. Molly is constantly on the go, but makes time to enjoy a cup of coffee each morning, and thinks a chavela with Mexican food makes a perfect night out. On weekends, you’ll find Molly rooting for her cheerleader daughter or celebrating a family event.
Design & Production Manager & Baseball Fanatic
Bryan joined the graphic design industry in 1994 and is an expert in print production, website development, logo, magazine and website design. Whether it’s a full magazine layout or complete website overhaul, Bryan is guaranteed to “knock it out of the park” with results―not only because he’s great at his job but because he’s a huge baseball fan and enjoys the metaphor.
When Bryan’s not “batting a thousand” for our clients, he enjoys hanging out with his wife, Jessica, and their children, Penelope, Griffin and Isadora. He loves sweet tea (with an admittedly unhealthy amount of sugar) and rocks a classic pair of Chuck Taylors. Bryan has visited 6 out of 30 Major League Baseball parks and is determined to cross the remaining 24 off his list. His son is named after future Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr., so yea, he’s kind of a baseball fan.
Web Developer and Whitewater Whiz
Roger’s talents aren’t limited to his web development expertise. His pro-level WordPress and SEO knowledge account for nearly a decade “riding the wave,” developing websites for businesses and nonprofits, and getting his adrenaline fix paddling through whitewater with his camera on weekends.
Smart from the start, in 2010 Roger was awarded Best Design by bestlawfirmsites.com, showcasing his skills in HTML5, CSS, PHP, MySQL, jQuery, Boostrap and Less/Saas, to name a few. Roger loves watching clients’ businesses grow from their investment in strategic web design, and is trusted by clients and co-workers alike for his attention to detail and great communication skills.
After-hours, you’ll find Roger on Monterey Bay or Point Lobos, conquering the swells in his kayak. Look for the helmet cam.
Account Coordinator & Foodie
Allie grew up in Portland and graduated from Oregon State with a degree in New Media Communications – Go Beavers! Her skills in account support, sales and business development will help to keep the Moxxy team on track and clients happy.
She has a weakness for dark chocolate and enjoys sporting events, live music, trying unique foods, and running (yes, some people do that for fun). She has run the Big Sur Half Marathon twice so far and her goal is to complete a marathon one day.
Allie and her husband Matt live in Carmel with a rabbit adopted from the SPCA called “Bucko” because he bucks like a bull when jumping in the air and a betta fish known as “Fish Stick”.
Associate & Cruise Director
With over (she won’t let us tell you how many) years of expertise, Vickie is experienced in all facets of marketing including planning, print design, website development, advertising and event planning. Having worked with a diverse clientele, she understands there are no “cookie cutter” solutions. Her outgoing personality and educated professional opinion are what keep Vickie’s client list steady and growing.
Known as “Masha” by her grandchildren, Vickie is a firm believer that negative thoughts are far more likely to come true when spoken. Pina Coladas, Christmas and Costco all put a smile on her face, and she loves going for rides on her husband’s motorcycle. Someday she plans to travel on the “Star Alliance Around the World 39,000 mile adventure” and hopes to eventually learn to sing something (well) other than “These Boots are Made for Walking.”
Receptionist & Fry Thief
Our bird-brained receptionist and security officer, Haley can be found spending HIS time watching over the Moxxy flock from his perch (which conveniently has wheels) and using his large beak to intimidate possible intruders and anyone with small fingers. Peanuts, tortilla chips and French fries are the way to his heart and he enjoys greeting office visitors with a hearty “Hello!”
